Acer is at CES 2024 with its strongest presence in recent years. The new Swift and Aspire laptops are good, but those who want something powerful are looking for the company’s gaming proposals. Acer’s new offerings include four new Predator gaming laptops, as the company’s flagship offerings, and the new, more affordable Nitro – for those who don’t want to dig deep into their pockets. Of course, Acer also reserved a surprise for those who prefer stationary computers. It introduced four AMD 7000 series desktop GPUs. Let’s take a look at all of this.
Acer Predator Helios 16 and 18

These gaming laptops feature AI Tensor Cores, Copilot, and even a dedicated Copilot key on the keyboard. Moreover, they come with very powerful specifications to cope with any game. The connection can feature a 14th generation Intel Core i9 14900HX processor, up to 32GB of RAM, up to the top-of-the-line NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, and an improved mechanical keyboard. In the field of displays we also have quite a few options, there are WQXGA panels, Mini LED with a refresh rate of 250Hz, 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color spectrum, and much more.
Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 and 18

The Acer Predator Helios 16 and 18 offer the best the company has to offer, but they can be a bit pricey. Those looking for high-quality gaming performance at a slightly more reasonable price should consider the Predator Helios Neo series, which comes in 16- and 18-inch versions. Inside they can be Intel Core i9 4900HX, RAM memory up to 32GB and GPU up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070. From screens we have WQXG, as well as 240 Hz refresh rates. Although the display specifications are a bit lower, there is still 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
Acer Nitro 17

If you really want to save money and get a very capable gaming laptop, the Acer Nitro 17 we saw at CES 2024 might offer the best balance. It comes with an Intel Core i7 4700HX, with up to 32GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU.Although it’s less powerful than the Predator, it’s still a very capable gaming laptop. Even its screen is pretty good, offering QHD resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate, as well as support for 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
Acer AMD 7000 series GPU

If you’re interested in PC gaming, you’ll probably want to check out the new GPUs that Acer unveiled at CES 2024. These GPUs are AMD’s 7000 series GPUs. They include the Nitro AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT OC, the Nitro AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT OC, the Nitro AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT OC and the highest-end Predator BiFrost AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT OC GPU.
