The platform operates exclusively through mobile devices in the Amazon Shopping app and only for US consumers, offering 300 million products across 35 categories. Haul’s ordering system works with an innovative purchase bundling model.
Orders are gathered in central warehouses and shipped in bulk, allowing for a reduction in transportation costs and, by extension, product prices. The platform offers sophisticated search filters, including categories like “Under $5,” “Trending of the Week,” and “Best Value.”
In addition, it has a system of personalized recommendations based on the user’s purchase history and preferences. For consumers, the new platform offers significant advantages in managing their budget. Users can set price alerts and track fluctuations in the products they are interested in. Dharmesh Mehta, Amazon’s vice president, emphasizes that every product goes through strict quality and safety checks, despite the low prices.

The company has developed a special supplier evaluation system to ensure specifications. The app offers detailed order tracking with estimated delivery times and the ability to group multiple orders to save on shipping costs. For Amazon Prime users, the platform provides additional benefits such as access to exclusive offers and priority order processing. However, a Prime membership is not necessary to use Haul. Transaction security is enhanced with advanced encryption and authentication systems, while payments support multiple methods, including digital wallets.
The company has integrated returns management system with prepaid labels and automated refund process, simplifying the process for consumers. Haul also has a social networking feature, allowing users to share their purchases and discover recommendations from other shoppers.
Amazon plans to expand Haul to additional markets within 2025, with a priority in Europe and Canada.
