Google is preparing a major design upgrade for the Drive, Sheets, Docs and Slides applications, with the aim of harmonizing with the philosophy of Material Design 3 and more reminiscent of the renewed look of Gmail.
From the first images he shared publicly, we can see some of the changes, such as darker shades in the toolbar and comments to stand out more from the document, as well as a more rounded Share button. In addition,

Google is bringing support for third-party smart features (such as Notion and Coda) directly into the documents the user edits, while also adding its own extras such as the new timer, date shortcuts in Sheets, the ability to vote with emojis and invitations to insert into Calendar through Docs.
The company notes that we will see new additions and design changes to the aforementioned apps in the coming weeks.
