The launch of the Galaxy S23 series models from Samsung in the European market of the top smartphones of the biggest manufacturers that are in the “camp” of the Android operating system.
The new Samsung Galaxy S23 is available on the global market from Friday (17/2) but within the next 2 months we expect to see the top models of all the remaining competitors of the Korean company.
However, it is worth noting that in many cases, the new “flagships” have already been announced but are currently only available in China.
An example is Xiaomi, which has announced the Xiaomi 13 series but has done so for the Chinese market.
The global version, as reported by international publications, is to be presented on February 26 as part of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which – traditionally – is the event where new models are announced.
In Barcelona, realme will announce its new flagship model (GT3 Pro),
Another example is vivo, which recently announced the X90 Pro, a flagship model with a camera system designed in collaboration with Zeiss and top performance, especially in the area of charging, which we will see in a quarter and in the Greek market.
Of the other manufacturers, Oppo has already announced its first foldable smartphones with the N2 Flip being among those we will see coming to Greece as well. We are also looking forward to the new OnePlus 11, which is an excellent device at a more affordable price than other “flagships”. OnePlus is a subsidiary of Oppo and according to existing information, the local office has taken over the distribution of the former’s products in our country.
What news do they bring?
In terms of new features, the big focus seems to be on performance, camera and fast charging. In terms of performance, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is the one preferred by most manufacturers with Samsung also included in the relevant list.

The big ‘battle’ appears to be in the camera sector, where there appear to be two ‘camps’. One is the one that emphasizes the resolution of the main camera’s sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, the flagship model of the Korean company, has a 200 MP sensor and the same resolution as the Xiaomi 13 Pro. On the other hand, though, manufacturers like vivo invest in features like the ultra-small 1-inch sensor that delivers great shots. In general, however, the feeling is that this year’s models will offer the best in terms of camera, with the quality of the shots rising to extremely high levels.
Another area where there is a lot of emphasis is fast charging.
To be precise, the extremely fast charging as there are now models with a battery that charges at 240W! It should be noted that now most “flagships” charge wired at 120W which practically means that in less than 20 minutes a smartphone with a 5000 mAh battery can reach from 1% to 100%.
