Realme announced at MWC 2023 the GT3 with a 240W charging speed, one of the fastest on the market, if not the fastest commercially available.
The Realme GT3 is identical to the Chinese model GT Neo5, which means it benefits from the same lightning-fast charging speeds where typically an 80-second fast charge with the custom 12A USB cable is able to charge the 4,600mAh battery in 20 % while a full charge takes only 9.5 minutes to go from 0 to 100%.
The charger is included in the package. To deal with the extra heat from the higher charging power, the GT3’s battery is covered by a massive liquid cooling system complemented by various safety sensors as well as a fireproof design. According to the company, the battery will retain at least 80% of its health after 1,600 charging cycles (at 240W), twice the industry standard.
Realme still places a small C-shaped ring of RGB lighting – dubbed the “Pulse Interface System” between an NFC receiver and a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 icon on the back, with the company not opting for Qualcomm’s latest chipset . All of this sits inside a translucent window next to the camera module, with the customizable light ring indicating battery level, incoming calls, notifications and the camera countdown.

See As in the GT Neo5, the GT3 has a 50-megapixel main camera (with a Sony IMX890 sensor and optical stabilization), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. On the front is a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,772 x 1,240, a refresh rate of 144Hz, an under-display fingerprint reader and a 16-megapixel selfie camera in a small hole.
There’s still an infrared port and Dolby Atmos stereo speakers. Starting at $649, Realme’s new device runs Android 13 and comes in four versions, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage being the basic one. The top model comes with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The device will soon make its appearance in many European markets.
