Huawei CEO Richard Yu revealed during the EV100 forum held in China that the failure rate of Huawei smartphones is infinitesimal compared to Apple’s, signaling a major shift in the company’s quality management system. When Yu took over as CEO the situation was reversed.
Huawei’s continuous investment in research and development, which accounted for 25.1% of annual revenue in 2022, has made the company achieve high quality standards in smartphones and a better experience for users.

Yu Chengdong of Huawei’s consumer division himself pointed out that quality was and will be Huawei’s absolute priority, above cost and profit, with the Huawei P60 and Mate X3 being clear examples of this approach.
