Deutsche Telekom’s fourth-quarter earnings beat estimates, with the company pointing to customer growth in Germany and strong performance by its T-Mobile US subsidiary.
In particular, the German telecommunications giant reported EBITDA profits of 9.96 billion euros in the final quarter of 2022, slightly beating the 9.9 billion estimate of analysts polled by Reuters.
At the same time, however, Deutsche Telekom’s turnover of 29.8 billion euros narrowly missed the forecast for 30 billion, although it was up 4% from the same period a year earlier.
For the full year 2022, Telekom reported revenues of €114.4 billion, up 6.1% from the previous year, and adjusted EBITDA AL of €40.2 billion, up 7.7%.
For this year, the group said it expects adjusted EBITDA AL of around €40.8 billion.
