Marvel has revealed new characters for the upcoming Marvel Rivals game, including Wolverine, Black Widow and more. Marvel revealed through a new trailer that Wolverine, Black Widow, Iron Fist, Squirrel Girl, and Cloak and Dagger will be part of the upcoming 6v6 hero shooter, Marvel Rivals.
According to the company’s official announcement, each character will be fully presented in separate trailers, one per day, until the release of the game on December 6. The trailer presents some of the attacks that the characters will have at their disposal, with a special emphasis on combo attacks. A typical example is the collaboration between Hulk and Wolverine, where the green monster throws Wolverine towards his opponents.
Additionally, other group attacks are featured, such as Squirrel Girl grabbing a spider-man’s web orb and turning it into an explosive projectile, as well as Black Widow and Hawkeye firing in tandem. Marvel also introduced a new map called Kyntar: Symbiotic Surface in a separate video.
The story of the map revolves around the awakening of Knull and the threat it poses to the goddess Bast. Shuri sends the Guardians of the Galaxy to the planet Klyntar to find a solution, where they meet Venom and discuss how to deal with the threat. Marvel Rivals will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store) on December 6.
The Marvel Games team has scheduled an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on December 4 at 10 p.m. ET on the game’s official Discord.
