Intel is officially going to present on December 3rd the new graphics cards as announced a little while ago, with rumors that the upcoming models are the Arc B580 and B570. Their official release is scheduled for December 12, when the first reviews from technological media will be published.
Despite the financial pressures that Intel faces in the field of graphics cards for gaming, it seems that these two cards of the Battlemage series will be released as normal. According to the prices found by Momomo_us, the “Limited Edition” version of the Arc B580 is expected to cost around 250 dollars.
Based on leaks that appeared on Amazon, the B580 will have 20 Xe2 cores, operating frequency at 2.8GHz and 12GB of GDDR6 memory at 19Gbps with a 192-bit memory interface. The card will only require two axial fans and a single PCIe 8-pin power connector, although a variant with three fans and two power connectors has also been spotted.
The new cards will support the PCIe 5.0 x8 connection, but are not expected to compete with the high-end models on the market. Their technical characteristics indicate fewer cores, smaller memory and lower memory bandwidth compared to previous Intel models.
The release of the new graphics cards comes at a time when the GPU market needs affordable options, after a prolonged period of high prices due to the pandemic and lack of availability. According to Videocardz, the full and confirmed technical specifications will be announced next Tuesday.
