Google has announced that it is expanding some AI functions to some of its productivity apps. However, the rollout is not global, as the company specifies that these features will only be available to certified testers in the US, such as Bard.
However, the new features will be available to all users by the end of this year. These functions will be applied to Google Docs, Gmail, Sheets, and Slides. Within Docs, for example, the interface will provide easy access to artificial intelligence so you can discuss, synthesize, or brainstorm ideas as you write your content.
In Gmail, AI can take the frame from short bullet points and write an entire email. And as for slides, you can create images, audio and video on the fly so you can make a better presentation.
The above is a small sample of Google’s AI capabilities in Gmail, and its other applications. The company highlighted some of the features it will soon make available to all its users. By reference, they are the following:
Compose, reply, sync and prioritize in Gmail
Editing, editing, writing and retyping ideas in Docs
Bring your creative vision to life with automatically generated images, audio and video in Slides
Go from raw data to insights and analysis through auto-completion, form generation and context-based categorization in Sheets
Create new wallpapers and record notes in Meet
Enable workflows to do things in Chat
You can even choose the tone of your writing to best suit the occasion, use artificial intelligence to help you with a draft based on a specific topic, summarize emails to save time, proofread or even rewrite Your document, create presentations, and much more.
