Netflix claims that its anti-password sharing measures are working and even provides the numbers to support this view.

More specifically, when announcing financial results for the second quarter of 2023, Netflix reported that it managed to gain 5.9 million subscribers. Netflix recently rolled out a slew of changes to its platform.

More specifically, it imposed a restriction on password sharing in order to limit the use of Netflix to one account per household, while the measures are also coming to all the other regions where the service is active.

According to the announcements and from what has been known, the platform will start informing users by email that it will send in the coming days.

At the same time, Netflix points out that it will not support sub accounts in order not to make things complicated.

The arrival of the password sharing fee was particularly fast.

As Netflix now informs, the user will have to set the Netflix home thus cutting off access to other accounts that use your subscription and do not live with you. The first emails have reached the users, but not to our own profile yet, but it’s only a matter of time.

A Netflix account can be shared by people who live together in the same house. People outside of your household will need to sign up and get their own account to watch Netflix. You can manage who uses your account by setting up a Netflix Home.

The Netflix Home is a collection of devices that are connected to the Internet at the main location where you watch Netflix. You can set up your Netflix Home through your TV.

All other devices using your Netflix account on the same Internet connection as this TV will automatically belong to your Netflix Home.
