The much-anticipated Huawei P70 series will bring changes to the smartphone landscape, especially if what has been leaked so far is anything to go by. In the latest, we have an image that shows for the first time the design of the smartphone module of the series.
The source of the image is the well-known and authoritative leaker of the Chinese social network Weibo, Digital Chat Station. This is a high-quality and high-resolution render that not only confirms previous leaks, but also sheds light on the crucial details of the smartphone’s camera system.
The image reveals a distinctive rectangular frame on the back, which houses a triangular lens array. The main sensor, surrounded by a silver ring, is flanked by two smaller sensors, while the LED flash and XMAGE branding are placed between the two lenses. The overall back panel of the Huawei P70 presents a sleek, curved look in a simple gray texture. On the left side we see the button to adjust the volume and turn off the device.

The leaked render offers a look at the new variable aperture and periscope lens, confirming earlier reports. Variable aperture technology is expected to enhance photography by bringing out the intricate details of the subject and producing vivid shots even in difficult lighting conditions. Meanwhile, the periscope lens, capable of capturing distant shots, uses mirrors for effective zoom capabilities.

As anticipation builds, it remains to be seen how closely this image aligns with the official Huawei P70 design. If the render is accurate, the camera design could mark a major leap in Huawei’s pursuit of improved photography experiences with cutting-edge optical technologies.
