We’ve seen apps like CapCut launch over the past few years, offering a streamlined AI video editing experience. Now, it looks like YouTube is getting in on the act too with the new Create app. Google announced a beta version of YT Create this week, aimed at simplifying the video editing and production process. The app is available on Android in “select” markets, right now.

Most notable features include automatic captions, a voiceover feature, a royalty-free music library, a range of effects and transitions, and a video editor. Other YouTube Create features worth knowing about include a tool to clean up audio from background noise, the ability to resize videos for different aspect ratios, and a variety of stickers, GIFs, and emojis.

This isn’t YouTube’s only AI-related announcement, as it also announced a few new features. It will test a so-called Dream Screen feature later this year, which will let you create AI-generated video or image backgrounds for Shorts with a prompt. This feature will be widely released next year. The company will also offer ideas generated by artificial intelligence next year. Finally, YouTube says it will offer an AI-powered dub tool for your content.

There was no word on the timing for this feature.
