Recently, Google has been constantly adding new things to its well-known Maps, which offer users information and services that they could not imagine.
Google Maps today announces a simpler design on the home screen of the application on your mobile with fewer tabs.
According to the website 9to5google there will soon be a simpler home screen with fewer tabs. Google specifically confirmed on the website that it is mentioned in the bottom bar of the application.

It currently consists of Explore, Go, Saved, Contribute and Updates sections. In addition to the renewed bar at the bottom, for which no screenshot has been released at the moment, new colors are also coming for the places on the map in order to find them significantly easier.
A more recent addition to the Google Maps application is the “Immersive view” option which offers the user a three-dimensional experience.
In particular, even if you have not reached your destination, Google’s application now enables the 3D digitization of a space to create an animated image that doesn’t just stay on the exterior of buildings. Google ensures this result by having in its hands the millions of images collected by its cars and drones, with these images, from the ground and the air, then merged into a 3D image using artificial intelligence.
With the upgrade of Google Maps, the Americans now offer the possibility to see a building even inside it and get a clearly more complete view of the space around it, as if you were using a drone yourself. For example, any smartphone user can take a virtual tour of Westminster, England, while learning the traffic load on the surrounding roads as well as information related to the weather prevailing in the area.
According to the company, the new impressive update of Google Maps is compatible with “almost every mobile phone and device”, while initially it will be available in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, London and Tokyo
For the time being, it has not been announced by Google when the specific function of its Maps will be available in Greece.
