In they have a beautiful design and are available in three different sizes. However, these were not available until iOS 14. At the same time, many Android smartphones have supported home screen widgets for over a decade.
App Library
From iOS 14 we also saw the App Library feature, or what we know on Android as the application drawer. iPhone users at all had no way to organize applications except for folders on the home screen.
Default Apps
As with home screen widgets, Android users could set their default options long before Apple. You can choose the default music player, the default file manager as well as the web browser κ.α. Support came to iOS 14 and again only for email and web browsing applications.
Picture-in-picture playback
In 2017, Android Oreo made its debut with official support for picture-in-picture (PiP) video playback. The user could watch a YouTube video or other applications in a small window, while doing other tasks on the device. Apple needed to introduce iOS 14 in 2020.
Parameterization of the lock screen and always on display
iOS 16 introduced the ability to make important settings on the lock screen, change the clock, insert widgets and much more. In fact, iPhone 14 Pro users can activate and configure always on display for the first time on an Apple device. Both of these features have been available for years on Android phones and generally offered more options on them.
