MIT researchers have developed a system that uses artificial intelligence to predict the development of breast cancer, as CNN’s Poppy Harlow explains.
What this model does is detect the risk of developing cancer.
Simply put, it can tell a woman she’s at advanced risk of developing breast cancer before it develops, says Larry Norton, medical director of the Lauder Breast Center at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
The image below shows the detection of the high level of cancer in that area and how it developed after four years.
