It’s been quite some time since Microsoft replaced Internet Explorer with Microsoft Edge. Windows 11 had abandoned it for good, but it was still there in Windows 10.

Today, February 14, 2023 is the day that Microsoft will release an update to Microsoft Edge, which will permanently delete Internet Explorer from Windows 10. Once released, it will not you will be able to open the Internet Explorer desktop app. Visual representations of this old browser, such as icons, are scheduled to be removed via a Windows security update on June 13.

If for any reason you still need Internet Explorer, for example an old web page not loading correctly, Microsoft has an IE Mode that uses the older engine.
