Oppo announced its Glass mixed reality (MR) headset at Augmented World Expo (AWE) 2023. The headset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ chipset and will be available as a Snapdragon Spaces development kit.
The headset features Binocular video pass-through (VPT) with pancake lenses, two RGB front cameras and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it comes with two joystick controls, supports SuperVOOC fast charging, and has a heart rate monitor.
Oppo MR Glass will be distributed through EnlightXR in China from the second half of this year. We don’t know if the company will make it available outside of China or what its plans are for the future of this device.
