The advancing current of technology has caused a wave of changes in the business sector, especially with automation. Recent research by Clarify Capital reveals that over 10% of businesses have incorporated AutoGPT to automate processes, reducing costs by $2,487 and freeing up over 6 hours per week.
Text production (57%) and information gathering (51%) remain the main tasks being automated using AI. The future looks to be even more AI-driven, with 35% of businesses planning to adopt AutoGPT. The predicted tasks to be automated mainly involve creating texts (59%), answering questions (46%), composing emails (38%), and editing or proofreading content (36%).
However, the rise of AI has caused concern among 22% of the workforce, who fear job losses. But a significant majority, 74%, support the application of artificial intelligence in the workplace. Additionally, 23% of employees report that their supervisors promote the use of IT, but 43% have not received training on how to effectively use these tools.
Surprisingly, 1 in 5 workers already use AutoGPT at work, mostly for data entry and processing roles (49%). In addition, more than half of workers manage side activities, with 10% attributing their initiative to tools such as ChatGPT and AutoGPT. Tasks that are automated typically include social media planning (33%), email marketing (28%), data entry (27%), and content creation (27%). Despite initial concerns, AI technologies such as AutoGPT and ChatGPT are becoming more accepted and integrated than ever before.
IT clearly offers new opportunities for businesses to thrive. Proper training will go a long way in helping businesses stay current.
