Blizzard has announced that the original Warcraft and Warcraft II, as well as its expansions, will be re-released as part of a new Battle Chest.
This new pack also includes Warcraft 3 Reforged, which has received a new update that improves its visuals. And all of these are available starting today! During the Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct event, Blizzard announced a number of updates to existing Warcraft games.
For example, Warcraft Rumble is getting new heroes and will be playable on PC next month. Also, Warcraft spin-off card game Hearthstone will get a Starcraft mini-expansion in January 2025. But the big news was the announcement and release of a new Warcraft RTS collection that brings remastered versions of the first three games to a new generation through a just-released update of the classic Battle Chest.
As seen in the trailer, Blizzard’s new Warcraft Battle Chest also includes the previously remastered Warcraft 3: Reforged. The game in question was released in 2020 receiving negative reviews from fans. Today, as part of the new Battle Chest, Reforged is getting a new 2.0 update that improves the graphics and adds new options for players to use more classic artwork and models.
The Warcraft Battle Chest is now available on Battle.net for PC and includes not only the three remastered Warcraft games, but also the original Warcraft 1 and 2.
